The Print Science Designer can insert 3 types of barcode into your documents:
- QR code
- UPC-A
- Code 128 type B
The configuration required is the same for all 3 barcode types:
- Create an image block that will contain the barcode
- Create a text block where the user will enter the data that will be encoded in the barcode
- Configure the image block to indicate the barcode color, barcode type and the source block containing the text to be encoded
In the example below, we see a template file that contains 2 blocks:
- Block_0 is an image block
- Block_1 is the source block containing the text to be encoded in the barcode
In the image below, we see the configuration of block_0 that specifies the color of the barcode, the type of barcode and the source block:
The image below shows the customer's view of the user-interface for these 2 blocks. The QR code rendered in the user-interface is a fully-functional QR code that encodes the text entered by the customer in the bottom block:
