¶ Products with mailing
With certain products such as postcards, you may want to offer the customer both printing service and mailing service. wp2print can handle products that include the option for a mailing service.
The postage finishing attribute for a product allows the customer to choose whether or not the printing company should also include a mailing service in addition to the printing service.
This video demonstrates the point of view of a customer, when configuring the postage attribute on a product page.
¶ Product configuration with postage attribute
In order to add the Postage attribute to a product, simply add a new Finishing price matrix to the product. It is important to note that the Postage attribute cannot be combined together in a price matrix with other finishing attributes. You must create a new finishing price matrix for the Postage attribute that is separate from the other finishing attributes as shown here:
The most important part to remember, is to select "Quantity Mailed" in the proportional quantity drop-down menu.
By doing so, the price of the product will be updated depending on the "Quantity Mailed" field on the product page, and not the total quantity of products that are being ordered.
¶ Configuration of price matrix for postage
In the "Prices" tab of the product configuration page, you will be able to configure the price for the postage.
