Depending on the technology you intend to use to print a document, you may want to apply very different criteria for what makes certain PDF contents acceptable or not. For example, if you are printing a document on an offset press, you might consider the lowest acceptable DPI level for an image to be 200 DPI. If you are printing a large banner on a wide-format press, you might consider the lowest acceptable DPI level for an image to be 10 DPI.
With preflight, w2print uses profiles. Profiles are a collection of preflight criteria that are appropriate for different printing technologies. With wp2print, you can create multiple profiles and when you launch a preflight analysis, you choose which profile will be applied.
To add or edit preflight profiles, visit the "Preflight" tab in the wp2print settings page. In this tab, you will see a list of the existing profiles as shown below. To edit any profile, simply click the profile name:
