¶ Customer Groups
Private stores are managed by using "Customer Groups". For each private store you would like to build, you should create a new customer group.
Once the Customer Group is created, you can then:
- Assign different users to the group
- Assign specific products and categories to be visible only to group members
- Lightly customize the Printshop theme for each group
- Assign override tax rates, shipping rates and payment methods for the group

¶ Creating Customers
If you go to the administrative site, you will see a tab on the left labeled Users:
When you click on this tab, more options appear, such as All Users, Add new and Users Groups:
In our system, you can create different users that have different roles, when you click on All Users, you will see a list of all the users created as well as some details on their role. If a customer registers an account, they will be automatically added to this list.
These users can be used, for example, as members of a private store, a customer, a shop manager and much more.
If you wish to create a new user, simply click on the tab Add New, you will be taken to the user creation interface.
You will have the same layout as above if you want to edit the profile of a user, and maybe change their role. There are a couple important roles that can be chosen:
¶ Creating a customer group
Now that we have a couple users, we can assign them to groups and these groups can be used as private store members.
By clicking on Users Groups, you will see a list of all the existing groups that you have created.
To add a new group, simply click on Add Group, if you wish to edit an existing group, you can do so by clicking on the group name.
Here the settings available for each Group. In certain cases, such as taxes and payments, the group settings override the settings made elsewhere:
