For certain products you may want to offer the customer a choice of how fast they want the product produced and, in the case where the customer requires very fast production, you want to increase the price for the product.
wp2print offers a "Production Speed Multiplier" that will perform these actions for the product:
- Display a dropdown to the customer allow the customer to choose different production speeds
- Apply a price multiplier to the calculated for the product using all the attributes except for the price multiplier
- Optionally display a Ship Date to the customer
In the example below, you can see the price and date shown to the customer in the product page for 2 different selections for 'Production speed'. Note that the price for 'Next day' is 50% higher than the price calculated for production speed 'Slow'. Note also that the 'Ship date' for 'Next day' is 3 days earlier than the 'Ship date' for 'Slow':
