The first step in preparing a document for Design Online consists of adding variable data fields to an existing PDF file. This is performed using Adobe Acrobat Pro and the free-of-charge PDFlib plugin.
The PDFlib Block plug-in can be downloaded from the PDFlib website.
Important information:
1. Plug-ins folder path is: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Acrobat/###/Plug-ins
2. If the installation does not work, visit menu item Preferences, General. Confirm the checkbox "Use only certified plug-ins" is unchecked.

Acrotbat Pro on Windows exists in 32-bit and 64-bit versions. You must download the version of the PDFlib plugin that matches your version of Acrobat Pro.
The image below illustrates how to determine whether your version of Acrobat Pro is 32-bit or 64-bit by using the Windows Task Manager. The Task Manager will clearly display "32-bit" if your version is 32-bit:
